Following the success of PLAVE (플레이브), more virtual groups have emerged in the industry, leading a shift in the entertainment industry. Joining the growing list of virtual groups is OWIS (오위스), a five-member girl group that will debut on 23rd March 2026 (Monday).
The name OWIS stands for “Only When I Sleep”, and the group’s concept centres around dreams, specifically those of the members who long to become idols. The girl group is produced by Lee Haein (이해인), the former creative director of KISS OF LIFE (키스 오브 라이프). As such, the expectations are high for this new virtual group. As for the voices behind the members, it’s hinted to be Lovelyz’s Ryu Sujeong (러블리즈 류수정), former Bighit Music producer ADORA (아도라), former NMIXX (엔믹스) member Jini (지니), “Produce 101” contestant Lee Ruri (이루리) and Lee Haein herself. However, it’s unclear which person is the voice of which member. Regardless, netizens are already excited about OWIS’s debut and what they have to present to the world.
