South Korean drama “Our Universe (우주를 줄게)” has taken the internet by storm! The new heartfelt K-drama, which is now streaming on HBO Max, follows the story of two in-laws at odds who are forced to raise their orphaned nephew after a tragic accident claims the lives of their respective siblings. As they navigate their newfound responsibilities together, an unexpected romance blooms between them.
The drama stars Bae In-hyuk (배인혁), Roh Jeong-eui (노정의), Park Seo-ham (박서함) and Park Woo-ho (박유호) as baby Woo-Joo. In a recent interview with the main cast (minus Park Woo-ho, of course), we learn about themselves, including their go-to relaxation method and childcare experiences. They also shared some words of encouragement for all the hardworking parents. Keep on reading!

Q. What is your go-to way of relaxing after a hard day at work?
Park Seo-ham: I usually order some good food, put on my favourite show, and spend time with the people I love. That’s how I typically recharge.
Roh Jeong-eui: I feel the same way. Having my family there to welcome me home is really
comforting. It fills me with a sense of relief – like I’ve made it through the day and can finally relax.
Q. What’s your ultimate comfort food/drink after a long day?
Park Seo-ham: When I’m exhausted, I tend to crave something greasy, like chicken or spicy beef ribs.
Bae In-hyuk: Pizza is my favourite food, so I’ll order a pizza and watch TV, and give myself some quiet time alone to wind down.
Roh Jeong-eui: I like to have shabu-shabu. I start with the meat, then vegetables, followed by
noodles, and finish with porridge. It feels hearty and comforting – like I’ve properly taken care of
myself after a long day.
Q. What’s on your personal relaxation playlist, for example, one song recommendation?
Bae In-hyuk: I often listen to songs by Kwon Jin-ah – her music is calming and always puts me at ease.
Roh Jeong-eui: I love a good piano playlist – I’ll listen to piano compositions when I’m trying to clear my mind.
Park Seo-ham: I like to have a beer while listening to Yoon Do-hyun’s “I Guess I Loved You” with the lights turned low.

Q. Have you babysat a child before, and can you share the experience?
Roh Jeong-eui: I have — I’ve babysat my nephew before.
Bae In-hyuk: My cousin is very young, and I only see him briefly during holidays so it’s hard to say that I’ve really taken care of him.
Park Seo-ham: My younger brother is eight years younger than me – instead of babysitting him, I mostly remember playing together.
Q. Can you share a piece of advice or motivational line to all the hardworking parents and audience out there?
Bae In-hyuk: I don’t know if we are qualified to give advice, or if our words will be helpful, but if I may, I would like to say, thank you for your hard work. The challenges you face and the love you give during hard times will always be meaningful. You can do it!
Roh Jeong-eui: To new parents, everyone is new to this in their own way – so please don’t be too hard on yourself. Just enjoy this moment as it is, with a heart full of love.
Park Seo-ham: Though I have not experienced parenthood myself, I can imagine that it can be
incredibly challenging to raise a child. I respect all parents and am cheering them on!
