Former SKE48 member Yua Mikami is infamous for being an AV (adult video) actress. As it turns out, another Japanese idol attempted to follow in her footsteps. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as well as it had for Mikami.
Kamen Joshi (仮面女子) aka Mask Girls member Otoha Ayase (綾瀬乙葉) shocked many when it was announced she was leaving the group. However, it wasn’t a simple dismissal. Ayase had been caught filming AVs without her company’s knowledge.
Ayase had been a popular member in the group, thanks to her sweet looks which made her adorable. She had apparently been a candidate for the group in 2018 before making her debut onstage in 2019. In 2020, Ayase had sworn to her fans she will “do (her) best” for future upcoming projects. However, on 13th and 14th August 2021, Kamen Joshi announced that Ayase would be on hiatus “for a while“. Ayase had reassured fans she was fine then, but did not state what was wrong.
The former idol had been confident she would return, but it was not to be. On 24th February this year (2022), Kamen Joshi announced Ayase’s departure from the group. “(Ayase is) canceling the contract because a serious breach of contract was discovered,” their Twitter reported. In addition to the announcement, it was discovered that Ayase’s socials such as Twitter and Instagram had been terminated.
Neither Kamen Joshi nor Ayase revealed what the contract breach had been. But on 25th February, a rumour started that she had been let go due to her participation in an adult film video. Screenshots of the video were posted online. It showed Ayase, without anything hiding her identity, performing several sexual acts. Ayase’s agency had reportedly been furious when it was discovered and dismissed her immediately.
We’re not sure what prompted Ayase to switch her career. However, some netizens think she will do well in AV films. Well, that is certainly a rough start to her AV actress life!
