According to reports, the “Ong Bak” star has been battling stage three gallbladder cancer in the past couple of years. A source close to Tony shared that he was diagnosed with the illness in June 2024 after experiencing severe abdominal pain and jaundice. The illness reportedly came close to progressing to stage four, but the star underwent surgery to remove the cancerous tissues.
The source noted that Tony has been receiving continuous chemotherapy since the surgery. It’s unclear whether the 50-year-old martial artist is now cancer-free. However, the source close to him said his health has improved significantly, and he’s growing stronger by exercising daily under close medical supervision. Despite wearing a cap, sunglasses and baggy clothing, Tony’s weight loss is apparent, with some noting that he is significantly skinnier than he was in the past few months.
