When it comes to Hollywood heist movies, a few come to mind, but the “Ocean’s” franchise may be at the top of everybody’s list. The franchise is an icon in the genre and has spawned many instalments, including a spin-off.
After years of waiting, Danny Ocean himself, George Clooney, confirmed that “Ocean’s Fourteen” is in the works. While not much is known about the storyline, there are some confirmed details about the movie. Here’s what we know about “Ocean’s 14” so far:

@enews The cards are on the table for “Ocean’s 14.” 👀
In a recent interview, George Clooney confirmed that Warner Bros have approved the budget for the new instalment, so filming would start once the cast and crew could work out the scheduling. According to the actor, filming will begin in nine or ten months, or in 2026. This means the movie is looking at a 2028-2029 release date at the earliest.
Many Of The Cast Expected To Return

George also confirmed that many of the original cast members would return for the new film, including himself, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and Julia Roberts. Unfortunately, “Ocean’s 14” won’t see the return of two beloved characters, Frank Catton and Saul Bloom, as their actors, Bernie Mac and Carl Reiner, passed away in 2008 and 2020, respectively.
“The Fall Guy” Filmmaker To Helm Director’s Chair

No blockbuster heist movie is complete without a dynamic director. According to reports, David Leitch is set to direct the new “Ocean’s” film, taking over for Steven Soderbergh, who directed the original trilogy. David is the director behind action-packed works like “Deadpool 2” and “The Fall Guy”. He’s also working on another heist movie, “How To Rob A Bank”.
Besides “Ocean’s Fourteen”, another prequel is in the works, which follows Danny and Debbie’s parents, played by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Are you excited for the new “Ocean’s” sequel and prequel?
