Natural disasters can occur at any moment and anywhere, even while on the road. When these scary occurrences happen on a main road or a highway, many, obviously, would fear for their own safety as well as the safety of other road users.
While these concerns are very valid, some choose to make jokes or memes about the situation to lighten the mood a little, like these netizens who gave some funny reactions to a sinkhole that occurred on a highway.
Yesterday, it was reported that a giant sinkhole appeared on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway (KLK) near Bentong. Thankfully, there were no injuries or casualties reported after the incident. However, due to this, part of the highway has been closed down for repairs as well as to ensure the safety of road users.
As for alternative routes that road users can take, according to NST, those travelling back to KL from Kuantan are instructed to exit at the Bentong East exit and enter the Bentong West exit which is near the Bentong toll plaza. The natural occurrence went viral online and netizens were shocked by how large the hole was.

Meanwhile, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi posted on his Facebook to inform the public that immediate actions are being taken to deal with the sinkhole incident. “Traffic is under control. I have instructed the departments and agencies involved to give me updates on this incident from time to time,“ he said.
At the time of writing, there has been no update on whether or not the road has been fixed and while these memes can make people’s day a little better, we’d still advise everyone to stay vigilant while driving.
