At 39, Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) is currently on top of the world thanks to his successful career and restaurant business.
Considered to be a diamond bachelor, the Hong Kong actor is often asked about his love life – or lack thereof. Ever since his split from Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), whom he dated for 8 years before calling it quits in 2012, he hasn’t officially settled down.
In recent years, Bosco has not only been linked to Vanessa Yeung (楊崢) and Japanese model Jun, but he was rumoured to be cheating on Rose Chan (陳嘉桓) with Sophia Zhang (张沙沙). Having said that, both Bosco and Sophia have insist that their relationship is strictly just friends/ colleagues.
In speaking with reporters, the TVB star recently list down 3 golden criteria when it comes to his future partner:
1. Firstly, his partner will have to accept that he priorities his friends more. Bros before hoes. She can’t be too clingy and needs to know that they would need time apart.
2. Secondly, the girlfriend shouldn’t question his whereabouts.
3. Lastly, she needs to be understanding of his high profile status. Since there are bound to be rumours, she should be understanding and not get jealous or angry.
When the interview was published, many netizens couldn’t help slam Bosco for his extreme criteria. Some even felt that he was being unreasonable. “Is he looking for a partner or a plaything? Is his girlfriend not allowed to have feelings and she should just wait for him to give her the time of the day?” a netizen asked.
Another commented, “Good luck getting a girlfriend who genuinely loves you. She might just tolerate your ego for your money.”
