Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Raya Al-Adha or Eid Adha are two Islamic holidays where many would take time off to balik kampung to spend time with their family. Sometimes we forget that this also applies to members of the Royal family. Many can tell that the Crown Prince of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal has a very close and loving relationship with his family, as it was evident in the way he hugged his uncle when they met at an event.
However, it’s not every day that we get to see a much more softer side of him. Although he may be someone of royal status, his mother, the former queen of Malaysia reminded everyone that he’s still her little boy.
Earlier today (Wednesday, 19th June), Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah posted a carousel of photos on her personal TikTok channel with a caption that simply reads, “Eid Mubarak”. As the caption suggested, the photos documented how the Pahang royal family spent the Eid Al-Adha celebrations during the long weekend.
What netizens probably didn’t expect was that the first few photos showed Tengku Hassanal being very loving to his mother. The former queen was seen kissing her son on the head in the first photo while the rest showed the young prince happily resting on his mother’s shoulder. As expected, a post as adorable as this would certainly catch netizens’ attention.
Many replied to the TikTok slides saying how cute and sweet the 28-year-old behaves around his mother, calling him “manja”. A few commented that they’re starting to miss their own mothers after seeing the photos. Perhaps we could use the former queen’s post as a reminder to everyone to always appreciate our loved ones while we still can. Wouldn’t you agree?
