Hong Kong actress Grace Chan (陳凱琳) is no stranger to Malaysia, having visited the country several times in 2024 alone. Most recently, the 33-year-old once again shared her love for Malaysia and our local cuisine.
The star recently shared a photoset on Instagram, showing her snacking on a box filled with local kuih while on a hotel room bed. The photos were reportedly taken during one of Grace’s visits to Malaysia. In her captions, Grace teased about returning to Malaysia in the coming year, writing, “Santa, did I make the naughty or nice list? 👼😈🎅 *snacking on Malaysian kuih until I return again…2025?* See you guys after Christmas”.
Many fans have since reacted to the pictures, praising the mother-of-three for her beauty. Some local fans were understandably excited to see the star munching on kuih, thanking Grace for the unexpected Malaysia shoutout. Unfortunately, some netizens have also shown discontent with the actress snacking while on a hotel bed, lamenting that it’s unhygienic since it could dirty the sheets.
Nevertheless, many Malaysian fans have said they look forward to welcoming the star back to Malaysia soon. Besides showing love for our food, Grace has also shown love for local media personalities, including Dissy’s Song Bill (喪Bill). The two recently shared a comical skit taken during Grace’s last visit to Kuala Lumpur. Many fans were amused by the two, with some saying they hope to see them collaborate again.
It’s always nice to see an international star like Grace show love to Malaysia. We hope she enjoyed her kuih platter, and we can’t wait to see her back in town!
