If you’re one of the lucky fans who got tickets to see My Chemical Romance live in Kuala Lumpur in 2026, there’s some unfortunate news. The band has officially postponed the show to the second half of the year.
On 20th December 2025 (Saturday), My Chemical Romance announced that they’re postponing their upcoming Asia tour. The leg was scheduled to kick off in April 2026 in South Korea, but it will now begin in November 2026. However, the band reaffirms to fans that the show isn’t cancelled and will proceed.

The new dates for the KL show are now 19th and 20th November 2026 (Thursday and Friday) at National Stadium Bukit Jalil. In a separate notice, concert organiser Hello Universe said that all tickets for the original dates, 30th April and 1st May 2026 (Thursday and Friday), remain valid. The organiser will share more details on the ticket exchange soon.
Unfortunately, there’s no explanation for what prompted the postponement. Additionally, the other dates appear unaffected, with the tour’s first 2026 show scheduled to begin next month. Fans have expressed disappointment in the sudden date change, noting that many have booked flights and accommodation in advance to attend the shows.
Understandably, the new dates won’t work for everyone, so fans who can no longer attend the new shows can request a refund on the tickets. Since the refund process differs by country, fans can stay tuned to GoLive Asia and Hello Universe’s official social media pages for more information on refunds for the KL shows.
While the news may be disappointing to many, it’s a good thing that My Chemical Romance are still making sure the show goes on, even if there’s now a longer wait. Are you still excited for the band’s return to Malaysia?
