MTV Music Evolution Manila is back for more fun again in the Philippines!
MTV Music Evolution Manila is a live music event that brings to life the evolution of a music genre and enables young people to experience and discover how music styles and sounds have evolved over the years.
The event marked its inauguration 2015 edition with a feature on hip hop, which showcased a stellar line-up of international and local acts who took to the stage in celebration of iconic and contemporary hip hop music.
Through explosive performances by Naughty by Nature, YG, Apl.de.ap, DJ Cash Money, and the Philippines’ own Gloc-9 and Abra, MTV Music Evolution Manila 2015 took hip hop to whole new levels for a live audience of more than 22,000 fans who gathered at the historic Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park in Manila.
This year, Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines reprises its collaboration with MTV and marks the return of MTV Music Evolution Manila to the Philippines on Friday, 24th June 2016.
Along with the announcement, MTV Asia revealed its first act, iconic international pop band and prolific hitmaker, OneRepublic, who returns to the Philippines for its 2nd performance since 2013.

Despite starting their career as an alternative rock band, OneRepublic has emerged as one of the biggest pop bands over the last decade, integrating dance influences successfully in several of their international iconic pop hits like its smash “Counting Stars”, “Secrets”, “Feel Again”, “Love Runs Out”, and more.
The band has a sound signature recognisable everywhere by its legions of fans, with their music played in clubs, including club remixes.
OneRepublic has also collaborated with world acclaimed DJs such as Alesso. The band has recently been in the studio recording their 4th album.

MTV just revealed today that Philippines pop star royalty Sarah Geronimo, and Filipino pop darlings James Reid and Nadine Lustre (aka JaDine) will join the performers’ line-up at the award-winning* MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016 at SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds on Friday, 24th June 2016. The newly announced acts will share the stage with its first announced act, iconic international pop band and prolific hitmaker OneRepublic and perform at the one-night only live music event to celebrate pop music like never before.

Bring out the coolers because this year’s summer heat is about to hit an all-time high in Manila!
MTV revealed today that Billboard Hot 100 artist, American singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha and Korea’s favourite K-Pop idol female group, Apink will sizzle up the award-winning* MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016 at SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds on Friday, 24th June 2016.
The female acts will join the performers’ line-up already comprised of iconic international pop band and prolific hitmaker OneRepublic, Filipino pop darlings James Reid and Nadine Lustre.

MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016 has completed its line-up with the addition of 2 more stellar acts set to celebrate pop music like never before on 24th June 2016 at SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.
LA-grown electric dance trio Far East Movement and Philippine pop superstar father and son-tandem Gary V feat. Gab Valenciano will join the roster of talents for the award-winning* MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016.
They are slated to set the stage ablaze at the one-night only live music event – joining previously announced acts; iconic international pop band and prolific hit-maker OneRepublic, Billboard Hot 100 artist, American singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha, Korea’s favorite K-Pop idol female group, Apink, Filipino pop darlings James Reid and Nadine Lustre – enabling fans to experience and discover the evolution of pop music and its dance influence that keeps fans moving.

MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016 passes are not for sale and may be won by fans through game contests that will open on 26th April 2016. Details will be announced in the coming weeks.
The free-entry* event will be recorded live for global telecast under the MTV World Stage global series, to an international audience of more than 3-quarters of a billion households in over 160 countries.
