Woot! Here comes the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA). This year will see country sweetheart Taylor Swift and “good girl gone bad” Rihanna try to beat each other in a total of not one, not two, but three categories. They are, “Best Female”, “Best Pop”, and “Best Look”.
Of course, this doesn’t shadow the fact that Rihanna has a mad amount of nominations in total for this year’s EMAs? How mad? Oh, about six nominations in total. One of which is the coveted “Best Video” award, which includes other nominees such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and (cue to take a deep breath) wait for it..PSY!
Yup. Can you believe that the gone-viral “Gangnam Style” is in the running for “Best Video” too? And who said K-Pop wasn’t taking over the world, huh?
Other nominees who are in the running to bag the 2012 MTV EMA awards are such as Justin Bieber (four nominations), Nicki Minaj (three nominations), Carly Rae Jepsen (three nominations and we’re not surprised), and Fun. (three nominations). Phew! Here are the full list of nominees:
