After announcing the official release date for the X-Men spin-off film “Deadpool”, 20th Century Fox has set a new release date for both the “Fantastic Four” reboot and “Assassin’s Creed”.
Unfortunately, both films will NOT be released any sooner than we would expect.
According to The Wrap, insiders have revealed that the film adaptation of Ubisoft hit video game “Assassin’s Creed” is struggling right now and won’t be ready in time. Thus, the studio was forced to push the film to an unspecified release date in 2016.
Starring X-Men star Michael Fassbender, the film was originally slated for release on 22nd May 22 2015. However, the film was later pushed back to 19th June 2015 and delayed once again to 21st December 2016.
Although the original article has been taken down, various sources reported that “Iron Man” star Robert Downey Jr. may join the cast of “Assassin’s Creed” in the role of Leonardo da Vinci.
Meanwhile, the change of release date for “Assassin’s Creed” has forced Fox to relocate the release date for “Fantastic Four” reboot. The “Fantastic Four” reboot will now take over the original “Assassin’s Creed” spot and is slated for release on 7th August 2015. YA film adaptation of John Green’s “Paper Town” will take FF’s old date and move up from 31st July 2015 to 24th July 2015.
