When it comes to beauty pageants, people expect pretty, ladylike women to own the stage. However, Miss Hong Kong 2020 champion Lisa-Marie Tse Ga Ye (谢嘉怡) is here to prove that stereotype wrong!
Known for her Scottish-Chinese heritage, Lisa had impressed many with her forthrightness and beauty during the pageant. And, she has since carried that same zest to the rest of her life. Recently, the former beauty queen stunned many with the outcome of her first boxing match!
On 19th March, Lisa uploaded the fierce boxing match to her socials. It showed her gearing up to battle another woman, allegedly her friend Jen. The two took to the ring with vigour, each receiving last minute advice from their coaches. When the match started it was clear to see the ladies were pulling no punches.
Despite sustaining a blooded nose from the match, Lisa was eventually crowned the winner. “Wow, our first fight in completed,” the 27-year-old captioned. “I won by the decision of the judges, but it was a really close fight. I am so so proud of @jen and I. We put out heart and soul into training these past few months, and tonight, we came to fight!” No hard feelings were seen between the two ladies as the duo were later seen hugging it out.
Congrats to Lisa! It’s certainly a testament to her tenacity and perseverance, mirrored in the way she handled her previous scandal. But, this does leave us wondering if the former beauty queen will be switching to a boxing career next. Well, only time will tell!
