When an artist finally earns a Grammy, they either continue to chase that same success or take a more authentic approach to their music now that they have received the recognition. Singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus is doing the latter. Her latest album, “Something Beautiful”, is a far more personal project compared to her previous releases, which fans have described as one of her best works yet.
With more freedom to pursue projects that resonate with her, the superstar has decided to make her return to movie soundtracks. Yesterday (Wednesday, 22nd October), she surprised fans by announcing that she will be releasing a song reportedly titled “Dream As One”, written for the highly anticipated upcoming film, “Avatar: Fire and Ashes”. Here are a few facts about the upcoming single:
The song was inspired by her real-life experience

For those who may not know, Miley Cyrus and her ex-husband, actor Liam Hemsworth, lost their Malibu home in a fire back in 2018. Although she suffered losses in both her home and marriage, the singer took matters into her own hands, repaired what she could, and decided to rebuild the mansion.
She revealed in her Instagram post that “Dream As One” was inspired by that particular experience, writing, “Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me. The film’s themes of unity, healing, and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true.”
She co-wrote the song with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt

When fans discovered that Miley had teamed up with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, they were thrilled, believing the song would be a hit. The two have collaborated with Miley on several projects and have contributed to numerous chart-toppers, including Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night”, Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?”, and Bruno Mars’ “Moonshine”.
With such an impressive repertoire, it would hardly be surprising if “Dream as One” becomes a classic in its own right. And who knows, it could also be nominated for an Oscar.
“Dream As One” marks Miley’s first movie soundtrack single in 6 years

Miley Cyrus is no stranger to contributing to motion-picture soundtracks, even when she is not starring in the films herself. The last single she released for a film was “Don’t Call Me Angel”, alongside Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey, back in 2019 for the “Charlie’s Angels” standalone sequel. After 6 years, she’s finally making a return to movie music with this upcoming release.
