Hey, Malaysian Mayday fans! Are y’all excited for the release of the Taiwanese rock band’s 9th studio album, aptly titled “Album No.9” (作品九號)?
Come October, the guys from Mayday (五月天) – lead vocalist Ashin (阿信), guitarists Monster (Guai Shou 怪獸) and Stone (Shi Tou 石頭), bass guitarist Masa (瑪莎) together with drummer Guan You (冠佑) – will be returning to our local shores since their previous “Nowhere” World Tour back in 2013.
Ever since the band’s Asian world tour was announced in May, many local fans noticed that our country wasn’t included in their Asia pitstops, which include Hong Kong, Taipei, China and even our neighbouring country Singapore! Due to the demands from Malaysia fans, the rockers will soon be performing in Kuala Lumpur.
With a career of almost 2 decades under their belt, Mayday has released 8 studio albums, won more than 150 awards, and has even been dubbed as “The Chinese Beatles”, as well as the “King of Concert” in China. After taking a 3-year hiatus, the 5-member band is back stronger than ever and is all-ready to deliver top-notch performance at their upcoming “Just Rock It” concert.
