This Chinese New Year, The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur ushers in the Year of the Horse with Masterstrokes of the Stallion 马寿泰康, a celebration that blends tradition, artistry and the house’s storied heritage. At The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur, the horse is not merely an ornament, it is a code.
An enduring emblem of strength, elegance, and disciplined power, it reflects a lineage shaped by the House of Astor. More than a festive symbol, the horse embodies values deeply rooted in the legacy of a family that defined refinement through restraint and mastery.
House of Fortune

From 16th January to 24th February 2026, the House of Fortune showcases a curated selection of festive gifts designed to honour the spirit of generosity. Traditional favourites such as Nian Gao, premium Da Hong Pao tea, artisanal sauces and handcrafted cookies form the foundation of the collection, reflecting time-honoured customs.
Led by Executive Pastry Chef Azizul Bistaman, the pastry team elevates these offerings with Botero Horse–inspired creations. Highlights include the Botero Horse Chocolate Coin Bank, modernised Fortune Cookies and a trio of Fortune Chocolate Bars featuring inventive flavour pairings. These delicacies are available individually or presented in the hotel’s iconic travel-inspired trunks, making them ideal for festive and corporate gifting.
Prosperity Yee Sang

Available from 16th January to 3rd March 2026, the Prosperity Yee Sang invites guests to begin the year with an auspicious toss. Crafted from a recipe passed down through generations of the hotel-owning family, the dish originates from Puan Sri Sharon Chua’s ancestral kitchen and carries deep personal significance.
Featuring freshly sliced fruits and vegetables, complemented by nuts, seeds and a signature sauce, the Yee Sang offers a balanced and nutritious base. Guests may elevate the experience with premium additions such as Abalone & Jellyfish, Salmon & Jellyfish, Smoked Duck Breast & Jellyfish, or a Vegetarian Mixed Nuts option, each promising abundance and prosperity from RM218+ per set.
Auspicious Dining Across the House of Celebration
The Imperial Stallion Feast

For intimate reunions, the hotel’s private dining rooms host The Imperial Stallion Feast, available from 16th January to 3rd March 2026. Crafted by Executive Chinese Chef Cheong Boon Fei, the Prosperity Set Menu is presented course by course, with each dish symbolising blessings of togetherness and fortune.
An Imperial Vegetarian Feast Menu is also available, ensuring inclusivity for all guests. With flexible layouts accommodating groups of 8 to 50, these private spaces provide an elegant setting for meaningful Lunar New Year gatherings.
Astor Bar: A Toast to Abundance

At Astor Bar, Chinese New Year is celebrated through a bespoke cocktail collection curated by the hotel’s mixologist. Infused with ingredients commonly found in Chinese cuisine including pineapple, orange and lemon, each drink captures the essence of the season in every sip.
Guests can enjoy these festive cocktails from 5pm onwards, accompanied by live jazz performances every Thursday evening. The sophisticated ambience of Astor Bar offers the perfect backdrop for relaxed celebrations and celebratory toasts.
The Drawing Room: Afternoon ProsperiTEA

Chinese tea takes centre stage at The Drawing Room’s Afternoon ProsperiTEA, where every course is thoughtfully crafted to reflect Lunar New Year symbolism. Sweet and savoury creations draw inspiration from auspicious motifs, elegantly presented on a bespoke chocolate stand inspired by Fernando Botero’s iconic Horse sculpture.
Highlights include Steamed Prawn Terrine with Lotus Leaf, an artful Prosperity Bonsai and interactive Botero Horse Cookie Painting. Bathed in natural sunlight and set against the striking Botero Horse sculpture, the experience unfolds as a refined yet intimate celebration meant to be savoured and shared.
