Bruce is a prominent figure in the Hong Kong film industry, starring in numerous films throughout the 1970s and 1980s. His career spanned decades, with his most memorable role being the antagonist Beast in Stephen Chow’s (周星馳) “Kung Fu Hustle”. Bruce’s other works include the 1978 movie “Magnificent Bodyguards” and the 2020 television series “Heroes”.
Bruce’s cause of death is unknown, but the star likely passed away due to natural causes. In a photo shared before his death, the cinema veteran appeared to be in good spirits while hanging out with a group of friends. Notably, Bruce showed no signs of illness. Sadly, he passed away the next day.
Fans and friends have taken to social media to mourn the late martial arts icon. Jackie Chan (成龙) and Stephen Chow are amongst the stars who extended their condolences. Jackie wrote a lengthy message on Weibo, paying tribute to Bruce for his contribution to the film industry. Meanwhile, Stephen wrote on Instagram, “Forever remembering Mr Bruce Leung.”

Following the news of his death, a poignant post emerged on Bruce’s Douyin account. The post appeared to be his final message prepared for his fans. The message reads, “Please forgive my abrupt departure. Just consider it as me going to a very far place to film a movie. I wanted to keep it a secret, so my closed-door disciple is releasing a video as usual.”
The message ends with, “You live well for me. Love is always there. Remember that I love you all.” Bruce leaves behind his wife, Song Xiang, and two children. We extend our condolences to Bruce’s loved ones. May they find solace during this difficult time.
