It’s the moment that many fans have been waiting for! Singaporean singer-songwriter Stefanie Sun Yanzi (孙燕姿) is making her long-awaited comeback next year! The Mandopop icon recently announced an upcoming concert tour for 2025, making it her first tour in over ten years.
Stefanie announced the exciting news through her social media accounts. The new concert tour, “Aut Nihilo (Just After Sunset)”, will kick off in her hometown of Singapore in April 2025 before heading to other cities. According to the post, the singer plans to hold concerts in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Nanjing, Chongqing, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia. More details on the concert, including more venues, will be announced soon.
The 2025 tour celebrates the singer’s 25th anniversary in the entertainment industry and is her first solo concert since 2014. Stefanie did have plans for a tour in 2020 but had to cancel due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Interestingly, the name of the new tour pays homage to the cancelled tour, as the 2020 tour was named “Just Before Sunset”. The Mandopop star also referenced the two tours in her post, “We couldn’t meet before the sunset, so let’s hold a beautiful celebration after the sunset.”
Stefanie began stepping away from showbiz after she tied the knot in 2011 and had her first child in 2012. Many fans have waited a decade to see her perform on stage again, with many understandably getting emotional over the recent news. International fans also hope for more stops outside of Asia, expressing their wish to see the singer live in person after so long.
