Mamamoo (마마무) leader Solar (솔라, real name Kim Yong Sun, 김용선) recently opened up about her past relationship with a guy which shockingly lasted for only a week!
Mamamoo appeared as guests for the SBS variety show “Dolsing Fourmen”. Host Lee Sang Min asked the members, “I heard all members of Mamamoo pretty much learned how to date through textbooks. What does that mean?”
Solar laughed after hearing the question, and remarked, “Well, I don’t think I’m good at communicating with a guy. For instance, I used to like this other student when I was in high school. But he didn’t like me back.” The singer added, “One day, I just decided to express my feelings (to him).”
“I straightforwardly said to him, ‘I like you. Will you be my boyfriend?” Solar shared with the hosts, before adding, “For some reason, I imagined that he would say yes. But he responded, ‘Oh, I’m not quite sure about that.’ I should’ve stopped there, but I was like, ‘Why? Why? You can think about it until tomorrow.”
The female idol went on, “The next day, the guy avoided me. But I went up to him and asked, ‘It’s today. Why aren’t you giving me the answer? In the end, he hesitantly said, ‘Yes.’ and we started going out with each other. But about a week later, he came to me and said, ‘I don’t think this is right, sorry.'”
Another male host, Tak Jae Hoon, later asked whether Solar made any difficult requests to him during that week. The “Honey” singer laughingly responded, “Not at all. We didn’t even meet once that week.” She then revealed that she eventually accepted that reality that he just wasn’t into her.
During the conversation with the MCs, Mamamoo also touched on the topic of marriage. The members felt that Moonbyul will be the first member to get hitched. The rapper agreed and said, “When I’m into one thing, I tend to become obsessed with it. Once I fall into a person, I think I would probably marry him right away.”
Tak chimed in and said, “I think the second will be Solar, and the third will be Hwasa. Hwasa would definitely get married once her man finds out about her feelings.” He then predicted that Wheein would probably be the last one (to get married). “She has so many things in her mind,” the seasoned singer said, to which all the members agreed.
