The Festival of Lights is right around the corner and we eagerly look forward to this wonderful celebration brightening up our days.

This Deepavali, Malaysians will be blessed with both the victory of light over darkness and also a beautiful array of decorations at malls around Klang Valley. And since we know that staying at home can be quite gloomy sometimes, we have created a list of places where you can feast your eyes on these colourful Deepavali decorations for a change.

1. MyTOWN Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur

MyTOWN KL’s Deepvali celebration is inspired by the blooming lotus, which is a symbol of courage and optimism. And just as the lotus blooms beautifully despite its surrounding challenges, MyTOWN’s wish is for all Malaysians to embody positivity and brave adversities, so that we can emerge together as a stronger nation and better people during these unprecedented times.

2. The Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur

This year, The Gardens Mall showcases a strikingly beautiful Kolam display at its concourse area on the Ground Floor. The Kolam is inspired by traditional Indian performing arts, where the attires and poses from eight traditional Indian dances, such as the Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kathakali, Kuchipudi, Manipuri, Mohiniyattam, Odissi and Sattriya, have been meticulously drawn.

3. Fahrenheit88, Kuala Lumpur

Fahrenheit88 is celebrating a ‘Bling Bling Deepavali’ with colourful decorations, including nine intricate spray painted Kolams at the Main Entrance Lobby, designed by artist and founder of Niuniu’s Gallery, Vivian Ng. The Kolam designs are on a base layer of colourful spray painted canvases, showcased as an expression of originality, warmth, strength and generosity, bringing luck to all Malaysians.

4. Suria KLCC

The Deepavali festival’s vibrant ambience can be felt with beautiful kolam decorations at Suria KLCC’s main entrances, festive greetings on the digital screens and the mall’s walkway, as well as colourful decorations at the hanging hoist at the centre court. Visit Suria KLCC to enjoy the vibrant decorations that are bound to attract feelings of joy and excitement.

5. Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

Feast your eyes on colourful, vivid peacock-inspired light embellishments and kolams with Pavilion KL’s ‘Dazzling Deepavali’ celebration. The colourful kolam located at the Centre Court, Level 2, boasts intricate patterns representing a harmonious, multi-racial Malaysia. These vibrant kolam patterns then lead the way to a giant peacock – the ultimate symbol of beauty and elegance.

6. Intermark Mall, Kuala Lumpur

Intermark Mall presents a ‘Vivid Diwali’ with colourful kolams at showcasing colourful rice grains in intricate lotus patterns to symbolise happiness, prosperity and strength in adversity. The kolam is surrounded by auspicious elephant figurines in vivid colours to represent the unity and diversity of Malaysians.

7. Da Men Mall, Selangor

Da Men Mall celebrates Deepavali with ‘Light of Rangoli’ featuring colourful and illuminating décor, festive promotions, exciting rewards and more. Be greeted with beautiful rangolis at Main Entrance showcasing intricate designs using traditional Indian flower garlands and illuminating candles to bring prosperity and luck.
