SneakerLAH, Malaysia’s biggest and most anticipated sneaker lifestyle convention, is back with its eighth edition powered by U Mobile as Official Title Sponsor. The immensely popular annual convention attracts sneaker and streetwear enthusiasts, collectors, and traders across the country as well as around the region.

SneakerLAH acts as a one-stop convention for fans to explore, discover, buy, sell, trade and share the passion of anything and everything sneaker and streetwear related. This year, SneakerLAH returns to MITEC (Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre) and takes place this 2nd and 3rd November 2024.

This year would be U Mobile’s third time powering SneakerLAH and to elevate the 2024 experience, U Mobile has a 360° AR Nike Air Force 1 (AF-1) Custom Try-On contest happening from now to 27th November 2024 for all sneakerheads. This campaign will feature a first-of-its-kind AR filter in Malaysia that enables people to “try on” a pair of AF-1s that were custom designed by mural and sneaker artist, EDNA CREATIONZ.

To stand a chance to win a pair of these exclusive EDNA CREATIONZ AF-1s, participants simply need to post the most creative shot of themselves using the AR filter on their social channels. On SneakerLAH weekend itself, U Mobile is also rewarding the first 500 attendees who rock the event in an orange top with limited edition U Mobile x SneakerLAH merchandise. U Mobile subscribers will enjoy unbeatable VIP benefits, such as ultra-fast access lanes and a chance to win lucky draw prizes worth up to RM33,000.

SneakerLAH has grown considerably since the very first edition at the Lot 10 shopping mall in 2015, and this year also sees a new dimension of the SneakerLAH experience with the addition of E-SportsLAH, a partnership with local e-sports platform GamesMY. E-SportsLAH is a space dedicated to anything and everything e-sports related, including gaming tournaments, watch parties, free play areas, all-star showmatches, and much more that will be held in a separate hall next to the main SneakerLAH hall at MITEC.

“We always try to improve on previous editions of SneakerLAH and strive to introduce new and exciting experiences to attendees – this year is no different. We are especially looking forward to E-SportsLAH which will undoubtedly open up SneakerLAH to broader audiences and welcome new members to our community,” says SneakerLAH founder Bryan Chin.

SneakerLAH attendees will be first in line for the exclusive drop of the ASICS Skyhand OG “Mamee Monster”, which is a collaboration between SneakerLAH, ASICS, and beloved local snack Mamee, The sneaker draws inspiration from the fond childhood memory of enjoying Mamee Monster noodle snacks after school—whether chasing down the “Roti Man” on a bike or stopping by a convenience store to grab a pack. This nostalgic moment is artfully reflected in the sneaker’s playful design.

This year also features a real-life edition of SneakerLAH’s popular Closet Tour video series, featuring exhibitions of items found in the closets of popular personalities such as Hans Abdullah, Sheng Yi, SneakerLAH’s very own Pablo, and more. There will also be an Influencer Pre-Loved Market featuring items for sale from notable influencers such as @nanabwincess, @imfzhd, @nizarhashim, @ihateamiruldanial, and more.

Other attractions include a 3×3 basketball tournament by PEAK KL, the “Morph by Phyn” exhibition by local designer Phyn Studio, a live podcast session by BorakLAH featuring special guests, an F&B village to keep attendees energised throughout the day, exclusive product drops including coveted CLOT x adidas and SneakerLAH x X-LARGE merch, SneakerLAH’s staple trading pits and lucky draws with prizes by U Mobile, ASNB, and SneakerLAH, lacing competitions by ASICS, and many more

One of the biggest draws remains the SneakerLAH marketplace, where attendees can purchase, sell, and trade the hottest and rarest sneakers and streetwear items on the market right now, with more than 70 vendors and resellers setting up shop at the event.

SneakerLAH will also feature musical performances by local artists, such as one of the biggest rising stars of Malaysia’s hip hop scene, Lucidrari; the blazing hot rap collective 53 Universe; the multi-talented and multilingual Lil J; the energetic and charismatic Yung Kai; and DJ sets by Bad M.O.B, Traction Control b2b Mia, Jony Maddkidz, Viene and Smooth Brain Girly. Emceeing both days of the event will again be SneakerLAH’s returning champion emcee, Dan $hiv.

#SneakerLAH2024 is a ticketed event with General Admission pre-sale tickets priced at RM30, and VIP tickets at RM80. VIP ticketholders are entitled to exclusive early entry to the event two hours before General Admission entry, access to designated express entry lanes, and complimentary SneakerLAH official socks. SneakerLAH tickets allow you access to both SneakerLAH and E-SportsLAH, and customers can also purchase an E-SportsLAH upgrade add-on to their ticket, priced at RM20, which entitles them to exclusive perks including in-game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) rewards valued up to US$10, E-SportsLAH lucky draw entry, exclusive merchandise, and more.
