Studying abroad is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and explore the world. It’s the perfect time for you to taste new food, meet new people and try new things.
And that is exactly what this Malaysian individual did! Naufal Omar is a university student currently studying in Seoul, South Korea. Often exposing himself to new things, this student jumped on the chance to appear in a popular Korean drama as an extra. What he didn’t expect was to appear alongside an EXO group member!
In a recent post on Instagram, Naufal shared a series of photos and videos of his experience. The images include a picture of him in farmer’s clothes, behind-the-scenes videos, screenshots of the actual drama, and several other pictures.
Along with the post, the Graphic Design student explained that he was given the opportunity to act as a salt farmer in the background of the hit K-drama, “Bad Prosecutor”. Not knowing what the show was about or who it features, he accepted the role regardless.
When the Global Seoul Mate ambassador finally arrived at the shooting scene, he was stunned to see the one and only D.O. (도경수) from EXO on set! He added that he couldn’t take any pictures with the star to maintain his professionalism, however. He also said that DO is, “truly nice to everyone around the set” and that he was honoured to have been able to work alongside the singer.
Naufal revealed that this was not his first brush with Korean fame – he has met various other Korean stars up close and personal, like Kai (김종인) from EXO and Irene (배주현) from Red Velvet! He is truly living the South Korean dream!
