Miss Chinese International Pageant 2017’s runner-up Serene Lim (林宣妤) has already signed contract with Hong Kong’s famous TV station TVB back in July, now she is set to make her TVB acting debut in a new untitled TV series featuring award-winning Hong Kong actress Kristal Tin (田蕊妮) as the main character.
Though it is unknown whether Lim will be sharing a scene with the leading actress, the 22-year-old said that she is grateful and fortunate to be able to be in the same TV series as the seasoned actress and hopes that she will be able to learn many things from her.
Despite having 2 films under her belt; “The Garden of Evening Mists” and “Think Big Big”, Lim is currently enrolled in TVB’s artist training class. She has also rejected several job opportunities in Malaysia in order to pursue her career at TVB station.
With many recent departures of TVB’s famous Hua Dan (actresses who constantly getting leading roles in TVB dramas) including Tavia Yeung (楊怡), Linda Chung (鐘嘉欣), Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), and most recently, Eliza Sam (岑麗香), many people are confident that Serene Lim who is constantly referred as the 2nd Eliza Sam by Hong Kong media, will be the next generation of TVB Hua Dan.
