We hear wedding bells of the royal kind! 🙂
The only daughter of Sultan of Johor, Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim, 31, reportedly will tie the knot with Dennis Muhammad Abdullah, 28, at Istana Bukit Serene in Johor Bahru on 14th August.
Yang Dipertua Majlis Jumaah Diraja Johor Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli confirmed the news, saying that Johor’s Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and Permaisuri Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah have consented and given their blessings to the wedding. The betrothal ceremony will be held at Bilik Singahsana Istana Besar Johor Bahru on the same day, followed by the solemnisation ceremony.
Born on 8th April 1986, Tunku Aminah is the 2nd of 6 siblings and the only daughter to Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Zarith. Her soon-to-be husband, Dennis Verbaas, was born on 1st May 1989, in Lisse, a town near Amsterdam, Holland.
Dennis was a semi-professional footballer and served as the JDT Concept Store and Cafe manager before becoming the marketing manager of Tampines Rovers Football Club in Singapore.
“His Royal Highness has consented for the state Mufti Datuk Muhammad Tahrir Shamsudin to conduct the ceremony as his official representative,” Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli told reporters during a press conference, adding that the bersanding ceremony will be held at 8pm on the same day at the throne room of the Istana Besar.
