Despite the common complaints by travellers, many airports still don’t offer complimentary WiFi. However, we glad to say that 2 different Airport WiFi services – free WiFi and premium WiFi – are now available at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and klia2.
It’s about time!
According to Managing director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, the service is part of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB)’s initiatives (under their strategic 5 year business plan Runway to Success 2020) to upgrade customer service and improve satisfaction at the airports.
“With Airport WiFi, airport users can quickly catch up on their emails or share their experiences with their loved ones on social media using the free one-hour access,” Badlisham said. However, if the free WiFi is not sufficient, you can always opt for the premium WiFi service. For RM8, you get an unlimited quota for 24 hours and a speed of 2Mbps per device.
This is fantastic news for those of us who have time to kill while waiting for our flight or are in between flights!
