Golden Goose has opened its first store in Malaysia, at the preeminent shopping destination The Exchange TRX, adding an Italian spin to the local luxury landscape and strengthening the brand’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Spanning a total surface area of over 200 sqm, the store is inspired by the brand’s Venetian headquarters and Italian heritage, where raw concrete walls and floors give an unpolished feel to the space, while interiors find their warmth in the brand’s archival souvenirs collected while travelling around the world – an ode to the multi-faceted inspirations behind the brand and its collections.
The industrial feel of the raw concrete floors and ceilings’ rigorousness is counterbalanced by salvaged vintage wood furniture thoughtfully placed alongside more elegant mirror counters showcasing Golden Goose’s latest additions, as well as the latest Jewelmates line.
At the centre of the store, an artisanal laboratory captures the clients’ eye. This area is dedicated to the Co-Creation, an exclusive one-to-one personalisation experience. With the help of the brand’s artists and artisans – the Dream Makers – clients will be able to customise their favourite pieces by unleashing their creativity and dreams by simply making their story the most unique item to wear.
At the Kuala Lumpur store, the Co-Creation experience reaches new heights, by introducing new personalisation options. From applying crystals, studs, special charms, changing laces, and more, clients can now apply heat-seal crystals as well as change the distinctive Golden Goose star, choosing from an array of materials, ranging from Swarovski fabrics to leather, suede, glitter, and pony hair, among many others. Various treatments, such as distressing, embroidery, and hand-painted drawings, allow clients to create unique, one-of-a-kind items that reflect their personal style.
The store also presents a Bespoke programme for sneakers, where clients can work directly with the brand’s cobblers to create a pair of sneakers from scratch, choosing from unlimited possibilities.
Moving onto the back, a mirrored display showcases the brand’s handbag collection. Through an exclusive Co-Creation experience, the Dream Makers, translate individual stories into each bag through the application of dedicated tassels, silk bandanas, charms, crystals, and studs, or with special handwritten messages and drawings, among other personalisations.
The store includes limited-edition creations drenched in Swarovski, together with the latest men’s and women’s Ready-to-Wear, Accessories, and Sneakers collections.
