Malaysian fans are still raving about the TVB drama “The Heir To The Throne (家族荣耀之继承者)” and all the local references they can spot. Since its premiere, the show has been the talk of the town as it was filmed in Malaysia, with many appearances from local talents. Recently, a cafe in Kuala Lumpur has gained popularity thanks to its appearance in the critically acclaimed series.

Mori Kohi, a Japanese-style cafe in Kuala Lumpur, was featured in the series as the cafe owned by Uncle Cheng, played by Hugo Ng (吴岱融). In the series, the cafe appeared as a comfortable hangout spot frequented by the characters in the show. When the cafe appeared in the series, many viewers believed it to be a set built by the crew – only to be surprised that Mori Kohi is an actual cafe in the city.

Following this, many locals have begun sharing directions to the cafe, recommending it as a check-in spot for fans who want to feel like they’re in an episode of the series. One XiaoHongShu user who visited the cafe shared a video detailing their experience. As shown in the video, the cafe has displayed photos taken with the cast of “The Heir Of The Throne” and a t-shirt with all the actor’s signatures.

The video also shared more details about the cafe, including its menu and seating. Many visitors who went to Mori Kohi praised the environment, saying it’s just as cosy as it was portrayed on-screen. Similarly, Mori Kohi has also shown lots of love for viewers of the TVB series. In an Instagram post, the cafe encourages viewers to tune into the show and screenshot any scenes where the cafe appears for a chance to redeem a free cup of coffee.
