Anime fans, rejoice! Swatch’s latest collaboration brings your favourite characters from the hit anime series “Dragon Ball Z” to life! Following their mission as memory keepers, Swatch plans to incorporate their colourful, playful, and innovative attributes on the “Dragon Ball Z” characters.
The collection depicts Goku and his friends in their respective styles, with two versions of the same character on the front and back of each watch. The English names of the characters are on the front upper loop, the Japanese names are on the reverse, and the “Dragon Ball Z” logo is on the bottom loop.
1. GOKU X SWATCH

- Fun fact: The orange and black BIG BOLD watch is obviously inspired by Goku’s iconic outfit. You can see the Japanese symbol of the earth’s strongest defender’s name that appears on his dogi (道着) on the dial and the Kintoun on the strap back.
2. CELL X SWATCH

- Fun fact: The artificial lifeform created by Dr. Gelo with a purpose to exact his vengeance on Goku inspires the bright green and black BIG BOLD watch. The pink dots on the dial hands depicts the insect-like android’s eye colour and the lethal black and dark orange tail is pictured on the underside of the watch strap.
3. FRIEZA X SWATCH

- Fun fact: Frieza, the popular villain of the Dragon Ball Z universe, appears on the GENT watch with white and purple reflected on the front of the watch and pink inner lining of the strap depicting the villain’s skin. The red dots also resemble his eyes.
4. MAJIN BUU X SWATCH

- Fun fact: Majin Buu is a worthy foe who has the unusual ability to turn his enemies into cookies and absorb their powers. The ‘M’ symbol on the yellow dial perfectly replicates the demon’s gold belt, while the purple and pink underside of the watch depicts the villain’s cape and belly.
5. GOHAN X SWATCH

- Fun fact: Gohan, Goku’s son, appears on the NEW GENT watch the Kamehameha energy lighting design with the words “KA-ME-HA-ME-HAAA” printed on the dial. The front features the patch given to him by his trainer, Piccolo, while the back is inspired by Gohan’s childhood outfit.
6. VEGETA X SWATCH

- Fun fact: As Goku’s silhouette is depicted on the dial, the NEW GENT watch captures Vegeta’s moment of realisation of Goku’s power level on his Scouter. The black and white print on the red glass depicts Vegeta’s Scouter lens, while the back of the watch depicts his Great Ape form.
7. KAMESENNIN X SWATCH

- Fun fact: The NEW GENT watch features the well-known martial arts master and inventor of the Kamehameha technique, Master Roshi’s sunglasses and the strap back reflects the Aloha t-shirt he wears.
