“Ghostbusters” actress Leslie Jones has been hacked and her privacy violated in a horrible way.
Not only were her personal identification, including scans of her California driver’s license and her passport, posted on her official website (http://justleslie.com has already been taken down), but the hacker also uploaded explicit nude images of the comedian engaging in sexual acts.
This is just the latest in a string of online abuse the 48-year-old entertainer has been receiving since the release of “Ghostbusters“. The photos are said to have been stolen from Jones’ personal mobile phone. Selfie shots of the actress with other celebrities such as Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Rihanna were also leaked.
Word on the street is that the hacker may have gained access to her private files and her smartphone pictures by hacking into her iCloud account. The hacker also included a video of Harambe, the gorilla killed at the Cincinnati Zoo several months ago, at the top of the website; harkening back to when she was previously bombarded with racist tweets comparing her to a gorilla.
“Ok I have been called Apes, sent pics of their asses, even got a pic with semen on my face,” Jones tweeted back in July, before taking a short hiatus from Twitter. “I’m trying to figure out what human means. I’m out. I feel like I’m in a personal hell. I didn’t do anything to deserve this.”
Since the hack, fans and other Hollywood stars have come forth to voice their support for Jones with the hashtag #StandWithLeslie. Paul Feig, who directed the “Ghostbusters” reboot, was one of the first ones to come to her defense. Here’s what he and the others have to say:

Unfortunately, this is not the first time a Hollywood female actress’ privacy has been violated this way. Celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence, Kaley Cuoco, and Kate Upton, were victims of a similar hack back in 2014.
Hopefully the law enforcement will be able to get to the bottom of this case soon and apprehend the culprit. Be strong, Ms Jones!
