Lapstone & Hammer’s Dip-Dyed ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14s Are To Dye For!

Lapstone & Hammer has once again teamed up with ASICS, this time to unveil four distinct dip-dyed colourways of the GEL-KAYANO 14. Known for their innovative collaborations, the two brands previously made waves with dip-dyed pairs of the GEL-NYC and GEL-1130 in “Indigo.” Now, they are expanding their palette with three new colours. 

Lapstone & Hammer, a Philadelphia-based sneaker retailer, has built a reputation for its creative partnerships and unique designs. Their latest collaboration with ASICS continues to explore themes that resonate with a global audience, capturing the essence of morning rituals and vibrant starts to the day through a range of distinctive dye colours.

The GEL-KAYANO 14 has been selected for its structure, ideal for detailed dye processes, and this release will feature three new colours: Coffee, Matcha, and Ube. These shades symbolise the richness of coffee in American cities, the traditional essence of matcha in Japanese culture, and the trendy appeal of Ube in Filipino cuisine.

Additionally, the Indigo dye from the first instalment makes a return, continuing its legacy. Each sneaker undergoes a hand-dip dye process, ensuring that no two pairs are alike, adding uniqueness to every box. The differentiation in dye uptake between men’s and women’s models also provides a distinct touch, with men’s versions showcasing darker, bold hues against lighter meshes, and women’s pairs displaying a brighter, more cohesive colour profile.

The Lapstone & Hammer x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 Dip Dye Pack will be released on 18th May (Saturday), 2024, exclusively at Lapstone & Hammer in-store, with any leftover pairs available at the brand’s website at 12am Malaysian time. These special edition sneakers will be offered in both men’s and women’s sizes, priced at US$200 (RM945.50).
