Year-end at klpac is far from slowing down. With “Magical Musicals II” wrapped in October and “Once Upon A TV Screen” concluding its final performance over the weekend, the performing arts centre is moving straight into a packed November–December season featuring international ballet and a revived Singaporean play.
Here’s what in the line-up:
Once Upon A TV Screen (14th–16th November, Pentas 2)

The klpac String Orchestra takes over this weekend with a programme built entirely around iconic television theme songs. The setlist moves from classic Saturday-morning cartoons like “Tom & Jerry” and “Looney Tunes” to jazz-tinged favourites such as “Pink Panther”, before jumping to modern heavyweights including “Game of Thrones”, “Stranger Things”, “Glee”, and “Bridgerton”.
There is also a K-drama segment covering hits like “Crash Landing on You”, “Descendants of the Sun” and “Goblin”. It’s a rare concert where an orchestra leans fully into pop culture nostalgia, making it a particularly easy entry point for casual listeners.
Ballet Illuminations 2025 (21st–23rd November, Pentas 1)

Singapore Ballet returns to KL with a curated programme marking 60 years of Malaysia–Singapore friendship. The line-up includes Choo-San Goh’s “Momentum” and “Fives”, a pas de deux from Edmund Stripe’s Piano Concerto No. 2, and Act 2 of Cinderella by Artistic Director Janek Schergen.
The company will also conduct a masterclass on 22nd November, with two scholarships offered to Malaysian students. It’s a strong showcase of Singapore Ballet’s range, from classical showpieces to more contemporary work.
The Swimming Instructor (4th–7th December, Pentas 2)

After 16 years, Desmond Sim’s “The Swimming Instructor” makes its return to klpac with an updated script, original music by Marco George and a new cast under director Christopher Ling.
The story revolves around Johan, a stern swimming coach who unintentionally becomes the centre of attention for two very different admirers: Jan, a wealthy young woman drifting through life, and Dave, a sharply disciplined advertising executive. What begins as light poolside banter eventually exposes deeper layers of longing, secrets and personal history.
A post-show talk will be held on 7th December, featuring both the 2009 cast and the 2025 team.
