Malaysian K-Pop fans were ecstatic when Lazada announced that KARD will be performing on their 11.11 Super Show at Axiata Arena. After all, this marks their first visit to our shores.

Prior to their highly-anticipated performance, the co-ed idol group – which is made up of members J.seph, Jeon Somin, Jeon Jiwoo, and B.M – held a press conference at Intercontinental Hotel this morning.

During the short Q&A session, member B.M (short for Big Matthew) answered most of the questions for the group as he is very well-versed in English. When asked about achieving massive success with their pre-debut project singles, he said:

“First and foremost, we want to say thank you to all the fans that has been supporting us since the beginning. The success of our pre-debut songs gave us a chance to tour early even before our official debut. I think the whole experience of being able to tour and being on stage in front of different fans all over the world was a huge experience, and it helped a lot on our official debut as well.”

Besides that, the Los Angeles-born rapper also mentioned that KARD plans to make a lot more great and performances that “is going to blow your minds”. As for tonight’s show, Somin said that she looks forward to meet and perform for their Malaysian fans. “A lot of turning up (tonight)!” added B.M excitedly.

KARD made their official debut under DSP Media in July 2017 with “Hola Hola”. The EP, which peaked at number 2 on the Gaon Album Chart and at number 3 on the US World Albums chart, sold around 18,000 physical copies. The group’s other releases include “Oh Na Na”, “Rumour”, “Don’t Recall”, “You In Me”, and “Ride On The Wind”.

Fans can see the group perform on Lazada’s 11.11 tonight at 10pm alongside other artistes such as Bunkface, De Fam, as well as Indonesian singer Cakra Khan.
