The Korean entertainment industry is in shock and disbelief as Korean media outlet Dispatch has exclusively reported yet another piece of surprising celebrity news.
Immediately after Dispatch reported that Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah are in a relationship (which their agencies confirmed ASAP), they then reported that South Korean top actress Jun Ji Hyun is expecting her first child with her husband Choi Joon Hyuk.
According to Dispatch, the “My Love From The Star” actress is due to give birth in the beginning of next year as she is currently 10 weeks pregnant. Her pregnancy came 3 years after her marriage to Joon Hyuk.
A source close to the actress told Dispatch:
It was news (they’ve) been waiting for. (They) really wanted to have a child this year, and they’re really happy that things are going as planned.
This came as a surprise to many as the actress has not been hiding from the limelight, despite being 10 weeks pregnant. But instead, she decided to just keep mum on her pregnancy as she is currently promoting “Assassinations”, her latest movie which premieres today (22nd July).
In the exclusive report from Dispatch, another source stated:
The movie is business, and the pregnancy is personal. All the actors and staff worked very hard on the movie, and we were worried that the pregnancy news would steal the spotlight.
The source added, “She couldn’t become a liability to the movie because of the pregnancy, so she has attended all promotions as long as it was not an issue to her health.”
Other than movie promotions, it was revealed that Jun Ji Hyun has also already carried out approximately 50 interviews with various media outlets.
Regarding the pregnancy report, Jun Ji Hyun’s agency stated:
It’s still the beginning of her pregnancy, so we are being very careful. For the time being, Jun Ji Hyun will be focusing on her health and the baby. We sincerely thank everyone for their interest.
Is her bundle of joy going to be a boy? Or a girl? Only time will tell! Anyway, congrats to Ji Hyun and her husband. We can’t wait to see the baby <3
