Maybe it was because we’ve heard so much hype (no pun intended) about it over the months or maybe she really did have the longest pregnancy in the whole of Hollywood history – but news today reported that pop diva Jessica Simpson is finally “no longer pregnant”. JSimp and fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed their baby daughter yesterday at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
She was given a boy’s name. And a luxurious birth, might we add.
Baby Maxwell was born in a USD4, 000-a-day birthing suite which includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, flat screen TVs. We’re not sure why JSimp will need so many beds. The extravagant “booking” also comes with a post-birthing manicure and pedicure for JSimp.
Well, your nails need look good even if you’re exhausted from the entire birthing process, right?
Right.
In an official statement, JSimp said, “Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, . We are grateful for all the love, support, and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives”.
Her family, including her sister Ashlee Simpson, mom Tina and dad Joe, along with Eric’s parents, arrived at the hospital in the morning right before JSimp went into delivery. A source close to the family said that Jessica is also ready to be a wife and that the couple’s wedding will be this year.
We can’t wait for the epic wedding after the uh, epic pregnancy!
