Huge congrats to Malaysian rapper Joe Flizzow for being the 1st Malaysian to take home the award for Best Southeast Asia Act at MTV European Music Awards 2018 (MTV EMAs) at Bilbao Exhibition Centre, Spain yesterday, 4th November 2018.
The 38-year-old was up against Afgan (Indonesia), IV of Spades (Philippines), Minh Hang (Vietnam), Slot Machine (Thailand), The Sam Willows (Singapore) and the social wildcard winner Twopee Southside (Thailand) for the title.
“I would like to thank MTV for this award. I am truly humble. I would like to thank my family for supporting me since day 1,” Joe said in a video message.
“Thank you to all my supporters for believing in me and for voting. I would like to dedicate this award to all my fans and friends back home in Malaysia. I believe this goes to show that even though we are small in numbers, but if we come together united, we can achieve anything,” he added.
