Besides being a talented vocalist and skilled musician, Singaporean singer JJ Lin (林俊杰) has also been known to dabble in many other fields – including gaming, coffee and sports. The 43-year-old has also been vocal about his love of racing, even occasionally getting behind the wheel himself.
Yesterday (7th April), JJ Lin took to Instagram to share several photos of himself at the Sepang International Circuit. The star was apparently in town to go on a few laps around the circuit with his custom purple Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. JJ also uploaded several up-close shots of the vehicle on his Instagram Stories, expressing his excitement to race the car around the track. However, besides the photos shared on his Instagram, JJ didn’t publicise his visit to Sepang as the star hasn’t mentioned it on his social media.
Despite that, a fan did manage to catch him while he was in town – local content creator Chang Le (蔡常樂). The YouTube star posted an Instagram reel, showing off his interaction with JJ after meeting the musician at the Sepang circuit. According to the video, Chang Le was having lunch when an acquaintance told him that JJ Lin was in Sepang. After hearing the news, the influencer dropped what he was doing and rushed to the track, hoping to see the singer in person. He also said he happened to wear merchandise from JJ’s esports team, Team SMG, on the day.
Luckily for him, Chang Le not only got to see the star race in front of him but also got the opportunity to take a photo with him. In the photo, Chang Le was seen excitedly making a heart pose next to a smiley JJ Lin. The Malaysian influencer said he couldn’t stop shaking after interacting with his idol. Many friends and fans congratulated the public figure, even saying he was lucky to have met his favourite singer.
Given that Chang Le was repping JJ Lin’s merch, we’re sure the Mandopop icon was just as pleased to meet him. We hope JJ Lin enjoyed racing at Sepang International Circuit – and perhaps he’ll come back to enjoy it more often!
