Exchange Unwanted Jewellery For One Brand New Piece At Minimalist Lab

When it comes to jewellery, there’s no denying that there are plenty of shops available to bedazzle us. However, not all of them cherish the memories that often accompany jewellery, the way Minimalist Lab (MNML) does. They are centering on how meaningful jewellery can be and are looking beyond simply accessorising.

The local fashion jewellery brand is aiming to spread awareness about metal waste from fast fashion jewellery. As such, Minimalist Lab recently held a grand opening at their store in Midvalley to initiate their recycling program. Poignantly titled The Re.Life Program, this program encourages customers to bring in pieces of jewellery in exchange for another.

Let’s be honest, we have all been guilty of shopping for fashionable items especially when they are at low prices. After all, sometimes we simply want a piece of jewellery that looks pretty but maybe isn’t of quality. Or, we could simply be looking for a piece that matches an outfit and simply want to wear it out for the weekend. Well, they may be pretty, but we do know they don’t last.

Well, that’s where the founders of MNML have decided to encourage change. “Our main vision when we founded MNML is to educate consumers about mindful shopping and (to) stop buying poor quality jewellery that you will have to throw away after wearing a few times,” CEO and co-founder Nicholas said. “We want to bring quality and timeless jewellery to consumers at an affordable price;  jewellery that can be worn for a long time without needing to buy another piece, hence the brand name – Minimalist Lab.”

So, how does the Re.Life Program work? Well, simply bring 10 pieces of your unwanted jewellery to any Minimalist Lab outlet. These pieces must be made of metal and can be from any brand. You can then exchange these 10 pieces of jewellery for one brand new piece from MNML. In fact, they are even giving you the option to choose your free new jewellery from their special selection! Sounds like a real deal, huh?

MNML hopes to encourage customers to invest in better quality jewellery which will help them save costs in the long run while reducing waste. From a consumer’s point of view, there are certainly no drawbacks to this program. So, it’s time to go digging and see what ‘trash’ you can turn into ‘treasure!
