Jason Mraz & The Four Letter Word

Three long years have passed since Jason Mraz released his last studio album, “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.”

Dare we say, we missed the American blue-eyed soul singer-songwriter dearly. So much so that we thought he had decided to leave the limelight altogether and perhaps stick to pursuing his career as a professional surfer. In late 2010, Jason announced that was officially engaged to singer-songwriter and long-time (off and on again) girlfriend, Tristan Prettyman:

Hearts of women were heard breaking all over the world.

However, in mid June 2011, he revealed that he was no longer engaged to Tristan. Soon after (about half a year later, in January 2012), he released what would be the first single off his upcoming album:

In his three years of absence, several YouTube artistes quickly picked up on it and made their own covers of “I Won’t Give Up”:

Janice and Sonia (aka jayesslee)

Just to name a few, who all executed their versions of the song beautifully.

We must say though, that we absolutely loved the artwork of his “I Won’t Give Up” single the moment we laid eyes on it. And we can’t help but wonder if the lyrics had anything to do with his recent “breaking up of engagement” with Tristan. Hmm.

In any case, check out how cute the “I Won’t Give Up” artwork is:

Oh, Jason. We’re so glad you’re back! And we can’t wait to hear the rest of the album. And we can’t believe that it’s going to be released in only a matter of weeks from today! Four weeks, to be exact.

If you’re as big of a Jason Mraz fan as we are, head on over here to pre-order your “Love Is A Four Letter Word” CD, slated to be released in the US on the 17th of April 2012. We hear that the iTunes Deluxe version has a special few additional tracks 🙂
