Melody DJ Weon Kuan (关萃汶) and MY FM DJ Jack Yap (叶朝明) have been living a happily married life since March 2021. However, their little family was slated to grow. In fact, they have been looking forward to a new family member since February 2022.
After months of waiting and planning, it was time. Yesterday (25th July), the radio host couple celebrated the arrival of their newborn! Both Jack and Weon Kuan took to their socials to share the good news.
Jack was very pleased to announce his daughter’s birth. More importantly, he was grateful both his wife and newborn daughter were safe. “I was worried about (Weon Kuan)’s state,” he admitted. “(I) was afraid she would be too nervous, and also afraid she would be scared of the pain.”
However, after witnessing his daughter’s birth in the delivery room, Jack was amazed. “I can only say that (Weon Kuan) is very brave,” he wrote. Jack was also extremely reassured by his daughter’s cry, as it was the mark of a healthy baby. “She is full of rage!” he joked.
For Weon Kuan, she was simply happy her daughter had been born. “It’s the feeling of a task being completed,” she stated. “It’s a good feeling.” Weon Kuan shared her daughter’s birth had been a tearful one, both for her and her newborn. “But hearing you cry so loudly, I have a hunch there will be days where your dad and I will want to cry,” she quipped.
Well, the radio host couple are clearly ready to take on parenthood! Be it tears of joy or frustration, the duo are happy to share it with their daughter and each other. We wish them well on their new adventure!
