If you’ve been to Thailand recently then you’ve probably already heard of the popular Staneemeehoi (สถานีมีหอย) restaurant which has gone viral for its male waiters in lingerie. These Thai Hot Guys typically serve some wild performances when entertaining their guests. Imagine local fans’ excitement when it was announced that they’ll be making an appearance at Privacy Club Tun Razak this March.

While some were looking forward to the sexy men’s performance at the local bar, others weren’t very fond of the idea. Those group of people includes Najib Razak’s son Nazifuddin, who had a lot to say about the event.

Mohammad Nazifuddin, the son of the convicted former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, caught wind of the Privacy Club Grand Opening event at Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur. The launch will reportedly feature performances by the Thai Hot Guy. The public figure posted his thoughts regarding the controversial show on his Facebook earlier today (Wednesday, 22nd March).

In his post, the politician voiced his disapproval of holding the opening ceremony with sexy male performers during the month of Ramadan as he believes the holy month should be filled with more religious and educational events. Furthermore, the 39-year-old took offense that his late grandfather’s name Tun Abdul Razak is being used as part of the club’s name and in promotional materials to attract visitors to witness the show.

“This is extremely inappropriate and I see it as an insult to my late grandfather. I am utterly disappointed,” he wrote. Nazif Najib urged authorities to take action against the organisers and hopes to prevent the event from taking place. “I never meant to prevent non-Muslims from having fun, but there needs to be justification for approving this kind of entertainment in this country,” said the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) member.

Nazif wasn’t the only one who expressed dissatisfaction over the racy promotional posts. Many of his supporters agreed with his statement and condemned the organisers for even inviting the performers to Malaysia. Other netizens on Facebook have also voiced their opinions on the upcoming Thai Hot Guy performance with many believing that it’ll do more harm than good.

Political Secretary Azman Abidin released a statement to inform the public that the Privacy Club opening ceremony featuring the waiters in women’s lingerie has been officially cancelled. According to the statement, the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) discovered that the premise does not possess an entertainment license; plus they have also been operating under a food establishment license that expired in February 2021.

It is understood that the venue did not apply for an entertainment license to carry out the event. At the time of writing, we’re still waiting for further updates on this matter.
