Many Hong Kong dramas and movies have been filmed in Malaysia, and when the stars are in town, they often share glimpses of their daily life here. One of those stars is MIRROR member Stanley Yau Sze-Chun (邱士縉), who is currently in Kuala Lumpur for an undisclosed project.
The star recently updated his Instagram account with photos from his visit. In the captions, Stanley addressed fans, saying he’s currently in Malaysia and working hard at rehearsals. He also said he’s been trying the local cuisines, including Malaysian-style coffee – or Kopi, as he puts it. Judging from his post, it appears Stanley has tried Ipoh Hor Fun noodles, kaya toast and Hainanese chicken rice.

The photoset also includes other pictures of Stanley and the places he has visited. He also uploaded a short video that looks to be of himself, taken while at a filming set. While the MIRROR member mentioned attending rehearsals, he never disclosed what he’s in KL for. However, news outlets reported that the star might be in town to film for an upcoming drama. Unfortunately, the information remains unconfirmed, so fans might have to wait for more details.
Nevertheless, Stanley’s post garnered a lot of attention from fans and his fellow celebs, including actress Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) and actor Matthew “Locker” Lam (林家熙 ). Many local fans welcomed the star to Malaysia, hoping he’ll have a pleasant stay. Some also wished him luck with his schedules. Meanwhile, the singer’s girlfriend, Alina Lee (李炘頤), jokingly warned him to be good in a foreign country, commenting, “There are eyes everywhere”.

It’s believed that this is Stanley’s first time in Malaysia. The last time MIRROR performed in Malaysia, the lineup only included members Keung To (姜涛), Anson Lo (卢瀚霆), Edan Lui (呂爵安) and Jeremy Lau (柳應廷). Stanley was supposed to perform at Axiata Arena in April 2024 for MIRROR’s first KL concert. Unfortunately, the concert was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, meaning most of the group missed the chance to visit Malaysia.
Thankfully, Stanley now has another opportunity to visit KL, so we hope he’ll enjoy his stay to the fullest. Perhaps some lucky fans can even stand a chance to meet him in person.
