Fighting the urge to share all of your holiday photos because you don’t wanna annoy your friends? Not to worry, Instagram’s soon-to-come feature might just be your lifesaver.

The photo-sharing app’s latest beta release for Android allows users to share up to 10 photos or videos in a single post. Droid Life, who first broke the news, reported that the post will appear as a carousel-type gallery and if testing goes well, normal users will be able to use it as well.

Prior to the beta release, the feature, which was introduced in March 2015, was only made available to advertisers. According to The Verge, users can choose to apply one filter to all of the photos, or edit each photo individually.

The multi-photo sharing feature would just be one of many new features Instagram has been rolling out since last year. Other features include live videos on Instagram Stories, disappearing photos and video for groups and friends in Instagram Direct, as well as screenshot notifications.

Instagram has yet to make a comment about the feature, but we think that it can change the social media game forever. Because who likes over-sharers, right?

UPDATE (23rd February, 4pm):

Good news, Instagrammers! You can now share up to 10 photos and videos in a single post!

The new feature is fairly easy to use. When you try to upload a photo or video, you will see a new icon, which allows you to share a multi-photo post, on the upper right side of the gallery.

According to Instagram, users will also see blue dots at the bottom of the post in their feed. Besides that, users can also like and comment on them just like a regular post.

The update is available as part of Instagram version 10.9 for iOS and Android devices and will be available “over the next few weeks”.

What do you y’all think about the new feature? Let us know in the comments below.
