5 New Indoor Attractions At SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting

Don’t know what to do during the upcoming school holidays? Not only will you appreciate the chilly weather at Resorts World Genting during this humidity, but there is a galore of exciting activities and new attractions to explore!

Located at Level 4 of SkyAvenue Mall, we were recently introduced to a variety of dinosaurs, scary zombies, interesting oddities, and many other thrills to keep us entertained. At Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Adventureland, visitors can now check out Jurassic Research Centre, Zombie Outbreak, the Alive Museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium, as well as PlayTime! Video Games Park.

1. Zombie Outbreak

Beware of the zombie attack when you enter the Zombie Outbreak! Those who seek shelter in an abandoned house will find themselves in a new terror at every turn. The venue is designed as a maze to keep you – the survivors – on edge. The undead have your scent and they have a ravenous desire for your human flesh.

P/s: It’s less scary when you’re surrounded by friends cause you’ll get to laugh at them being spooked out first. If you are the scary-cat type, perhaps it’s best we turn your attention to the other options available.

2. Jurassic Research Centre

If you or your love ones have a fascination with dinosaurs, Jurassic Research Centre is a must-visit. Here, visitors can step back 65 millions ago, into the land before time when the prehistoric creatures ruled the world. See if you can identify the various species of dinosaurs spread at the location such as the Brachiosaurus, the Triceratops or even the sabre-toothed tiger. You’ll also come across a gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex before you enter the fossil laboratory filled with detailed inscriptions of dinosaur fossils.

In the Instagram post below, we’ve also included a 4D experience of witnessing velociraptors wrecking havoc in a discovery lab:

3. Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium

Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Odditorium was a personal favourite for yours truly for many reasons. Not only does this area houses some of the wackiest and weirdest items we’ve seen, it has a little bit of everything to draw “oooo…” and “aaaa…” from everyone. With over 400 exhibits to marvel at, there are: Artefacts of lost worlds, a Vampire Woman, Mike the Headless Chicken, lucky charms, Ho Tei: The Good Luck Buddha, and many more…

Here are some of the funnier ones:

4. Alive Museum

Alive Museum is easily one of the most Instagram-worthy spots at the indoor theme park. Commissioned by artists from South Korea, this attraction has wonderful 3D images as well as 4D trick art that will engage families and friends with optical illusion art. Those who love everything Korean or Hallyu will be delighted to find famous celebrity figures such as Lee Kwang Soo, Gong Yoo, and Song Joong Ki.

5. PlayTime! Video Games Park

In addition to the aforementioned, there is also another attraction dedicated specially for arcade lovers. Take part in the Spacetime Squad Virtual Reality game where players are required to defeat a horde of flying evil robot destroyers. Other cutting edge games include the highly competitive PacMan Battle Royale (a game about “eating” opponents), Star Wars Battle Pod, Jurassic Park, and Storm Racer G.

BONUS:

6. Snow World

Indoor Attractions SkyAvenue

Once you’ve explored the indoor theme park at level 4, you can also take a short walk to level 2 of First World Plaza and visit Snow World. Said to be the biggest winter wonderland in Malaysia, this enchanting wintry wonderland beckons visitors to take part in a fun snowball fight and slide down a slope on a toboggan. There are more photo opportunities at the top section where you can snap pictures with various 3D trick arts.
