There’s a newly released single from Maroon 5 that you’re gonna know, whether you want to or not.
Produced by Benny Blanco, the Adam Levine-fronted band has just dropped a poppy smash-hit banger titled “Don’t Wanna Know”, and it features one of the best rappers in the game right now.
Maroon 5’s secret weapon? None other than rapper Kendrick Lamar.
The track “Don’t Wanna Know”, puts a lighthearted spin on drinking in order to dull the pain of losing a former flame’s love and having to deal with the jealousy that follows. It’s an airy pop confection with catchy synth that exudes a trendy tropical vibe to help you deal with post-heartbreak sadness.
“I don’t wanna know, know, know/ Who’s taking you home, home, home/ I’m loving you so, so, so/ The way I used to love you,” Levine sings on the chorus. Lamar’s verse also deals with being envious when he raps, “No more ‘please stop’/ No more hashtag #BoodUp screenshots/ No more tryin’ make me jealous on your birthday“.

Levine may be busy with diaper-changing duties for his baby girl and “The Voice”, but the 37-year-old singer still manages to churn out new music for the fans.
