Anne Hathaway channels “The Devil Wears Prada” in “The Intern”.
Warner Bros. Pictures recently released a new trailer for an upcoming comedy titled “The Intern”. Starring Oscar winning actors, Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, the movie script will be written by Nancy Meyers, who’s known for her romantic themed movies. Meyers is also set to take the lead in directing the film.
The movie will see Robert De Niro playing the role of a 70-year-old widower who discovers that retirement isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Seizing an opportunity to get back in the game, he becomes the senior intern at an online fashion site, founded and run by Jules Ostin (played by Hathaway).
As seen in the trailer, the movie will take on a different approach to break the Fashion industry stereotypes. Unlike “The Devil Wears Prada”, “The Intern” focuses on a sincere friendship that develops between two different people – a strong career woman and an oldster as an intern.
Meyers will produce the film together with Suzanne Farwell while Celia Costas will serve as the executive producer.
The film also co-stars Rene Russo from “Thor”, Anders Holm from “Workaholic”, Adam Devine from “Pitch Perfect” and Nat Wolff from “The Fault in Our Stars”.
