In December last year, Sony Pictures Malaysia released a batch of teaser posters for its upcoming movie, “Pixels”. The movie is Sony’s big screen adaptation of Patrick Jean’s outstanding games-vs-real-life animated short and it stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage (of “Game of Thrones” fame), Josh Gad, and Brian Cox.
“Pixels” centres on intergalactic aliens that misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them and as a result, they attack Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults.
The summer blockbuster puts Adam Sandler and his cast of friends in the limelight as they rally together to try to stop Pac-Man and Donkey Kong, iconic characters repurposed by the aliens and built from glowing blocks, from destroying the planet.

The action-comedy is directed by Chris Columbus from a story by Tim Herlihy and a screenplay by Tim Herlihy and Timothy Dowling.
“Pixels” is expected to be released in a cinema near you on 23rd July 2015.
