Feeling adventurous? Get ready to leave your everyday planned meals at home and dine out instead. Bring your family and friends along, and don’t be afraid to try new things.

Challenge your palate spectrum and prepare to be introduced to some of the finest and novel fusion food Klang Valley has to offer. In this week’s Hype Eats, discover sourdough bread with coconut jam and butter in PJ, braised lamb shank masala in Batang Kali, or even be served Sichuan DanDan noodles by robots!

Location: 29, Jalan SS 4C/5, Taman Rasa Sayang, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

It might appear to be a hipster café, but that is not the case at all! This newly opened eatery with a stunning interior offers coffee and pork-free traditional kopitiam dishes such as Hainanese chicken chop, nasi lemak, and more. Location: G12 Grand Subang Jaya, Jalan SS 15/8A, SS 15 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Time to get down to Sichuan DanDan noodles at ShowMian! Prepared by the first robotic kitchen restaurant in Malaysia, it brings preciseness and speed to its noodles. In addition, the noodles are known to be made from special ingredients such as spices from Southern China, homemade chilli oil, and Chinese wine pork for a delicious and unique dining experience. Location: Lot 2026, Jalan Batang Kali Genting 44300 Batang Kali, Selangor.

TERMINAL 1 operates with a chef who has 30 years of experience in the culinary industry and has served the Brunei Royal family. The restaurant’s range of fusion dishes such as smoked ostrich masak lemak cili api (spicy coconut milk with turmeric) and smoked duck with orange sauce. 5. McDonald’s Ice Blended Series

Location: All McCafé outlets nationwide.

Cool off with McDonald’s Ice Blended Series! It comes with three flavours now: strawberry, mango peach, and the latest flavour, lychee berry. So head to your nearest McCafé and enjoy the refreshing sensation with a sip of the ice blended!

6. Thirty8 Mid Autumn Set Menu

Duration: 29th August – 11th September

Location: Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

Besides enjoying all the mooncake goodness this season, Grand Hyatt KL’s signature restaurant, Thirty8, has curated a special Mid Autumn menu which can be enjoyed over the next 2 weeks. This menu starts off with a plate of Steamed Scallop (with glass noodle) and Chili Smoked Duck Breast that has some spiciness to it. There’s also a hearty bowl of double-boiled Fish Maw soup and Steamed Tiger Grouper Fillet. Do also remember to make space for a flavorful plate of Wok Fried Rice and  the Instagrammable chilled Taro dessert.
