A man stumbled upon the body of his beloved wife by chance after she was run over by a heavy vehicle.
The husband just happened to pass by the same road where the accident occurred, before breaking down in tears after realising the victim was his wife.
The incident happened on Sungai Ular Road, yesterday (Thursday, 18th September) when husband Ahmad Norrizman Ahmad Termizi, who is mute, cried his eyes out by the body of his spouse, Nur Almass Zasmi, who was also mute. The pair, still in their early 20s, have a 7 month-old daughter.
According to Harian Metro, Kulim district police chief Superintendent Azhar Hashim stated that Almass, 23, was riding a motorcycle when a trailer truck went against the flow of traffic. “Upon arrival at the location, the motorcyclist is believed to have lost control and slipped before falling under the trailer,” he continued.
Azhar added that the victim suffered critical head injury, and had died at the scene. The victim’s corpse has been brought to Kulim Hospital Forensic Unit for an autopsy.
The incident had garnered a lot of attention on Twitter when user @redzuanNewsMPB shared the sad news through his account. Most netizens who stumbled upon the tweet shared words of comfort and sympathise for the husband and their young daughter.
