In November last year, former AfterSchool (애프터스쿨) member Nana (나나) faced a terrifying incident after a man broke into her home and injured her and her mother. Shockingly, the same perpetrator is now looking to sue the star for attacking him.

On 2nd January 2026 (Friday), reports emerged that the intruder who broke into Nana’s home on 15th November 2025 has filed a complaint against the star, alleging “attempted murder”. The man, yielding a weapon, broke into the star’s home and threatened her, her mother and demanded money. Nana engaged in a physical altercation with the man, but managed to subdue him.

Both Nana and her mother suffered injuries from the incident, as well as psychological pain. During the investigation, the police ruled that the injuries that the star inflicted upon the armed robber would constitute self-defence. Nevertheless, the man has filed a separate complaint against Nana for the injuries. He’s currently facing charges for robbery and assault.

Nana’s agency, SUBLIME, has issued a statement regarding the complaint. In the statement, the agency said it will pursue every possible civil and criminal legal action against the robber. The company also states that protecting its artists’ rights and interests remains a priority, and it will continue to respond responsibly to ensure no further harm to its artists.

Netizens have also reacted to the news, mostly in disbelief over the perpetrator’s actions. This unexpected situation must be confusing to Nana as well, but we wish her the best and hope justice will be served. What are your thoughts on this?
